I work at this second hand thrift store chain and last saturday i found
something that i've been looking for for three years.
Most of the people that read this blog probably know the IBM PC/XT and
its beautiful Model F keyboard. This keyboard introduced a buckling spring switch
and a very modest executive IBM look. Some time after the Model F came the Model M
which is by far the most sought after mechanical keyboard by all keyboard fanatics.
Believe it or not, i found three Model M keyboards (ps/2) at my store.
I bought them for 4 euros in total.
Two of them were us layout (1396790) and one was dutch (1391511).
I've restored one of the us ones and the dutch one to full condition.
Besides some grime, dust and tabacco inside of the keyboard, it still works perfectly.
The best part(for me) is, apparently i still have a ps/2 port on my motherboard...
no conversion was needed to use the keyboard.
